Mr. Lozo was my Earth and Space Science teacher in 1995. That was a very rough year for me, as I was coming out and being bullied a great deal. I was depressed and struggling. He cared enough about his students to take notice -- he pulled me aside on a few occasions to check in and let me know that I wasn't alone and things would be OK. No other teachers or guidance counselors ever noticed.
Now I'm almost 40 and was just searching for Mr. Lozo to thank him for what he did all those years ago. I'm a clinical social worker and have helped a lot of LGBTQ+ youth and young adults. I really think he helped set me on this path and I am grateful.
I am truly sorry for your loss. I know it has been a couple of years now since his passing but from what I've learned, the loss of someone so dear is always fresh. I pray you are all staying well. Peace to you.

I worked for a few years with Jack At PCTI. He was one of smartest and nicest guys at the school. I hope he had a restful and enjoyable time since leaving school and I have thought of him often.He will be missed.

Throughout my teenage years I mowed and maintained Jack's lawn, planted 150+ bulbs, put in over 200 plugs of grass, and scraped paint on the house porch. Each day I worked and was paid, I was always treated to Chinese food with a Peach Snapple Iced Tea.
We went to NYC in the Red Ford Festiva to see the sites and Statue of Liberty.
Jack helped me write my high school graduation speech and he also helped me with getting setup at East Stroudsburg when I went on to college.
He's definitely a guy who left an impressionable impact on my life. I'm thankful to have known him.

Jack and I first met at Franklin High School where he taught science and I taught social studies. We spent many hours talking and he was quite surprised to learn that I had a house in Hawley, PA not far from his home in Waymart, PA. I eventually moved up to Hawley full time where Jack came over to my house. We had lunches and dinners together and chatted about all kinds of things. I often looked to Jack as a brother. We fished over at his pond that was filled with bass and had great fun and laughs. Me being a musician, Jack would occasionally come to hear me perform. I enjoyed our many chats and working alongside him at FHS. I am deeply saddened by his untimely passing and he will be truly missed, Both Aileen and myself want to extend heartfelt condolences to Jack's family. Rest in peace Jack and may God watch over you in his care.

Jack was a true gentleman and full of kindness. I never heard a negative word from him. I once mentioned to Jack how good the bakeries were in NJ. Every year after I said that, he delivered an enormous box of of deserts from NJ to my house for my family during the holidays. Last year he gave me two pieces from his Dorflinger glass collection. I was having dinner at the Hotel with my family and Jack stopped by the table. I mentioned the glass collection to him. He left. 10 minutes later he returns with two pieces and insists I put them in my office. There was never a time when we talked that he didn't encourage me to take my kids up to his brother-in-law's pond to go fishing. Just a good guy with a big heart. I'll miss seeing him around town.
