Obituary of Jospeh P. Gillis

Joseph P. Gillis, 78, of South Canaan, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at home with his family, after an extended illness.  His beloved wife, Anne (Mistretta) Gillis survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, Rachel Gillis, and her husband, Oliver Nicholson, of London, England.

Born December 29, 1940 in Flushing, NY, he was the son of the late Thomas and Eva (Jadick) Gillis.

Joseph served as Pastor of St. Michael's Orthodox Church in Pueblo, Colorado from 1984-1991.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the All Saints Chapel at St. Tikhon's Orthodox Church, 175 St. Tikhon's Road, Waymart, PA 18472.  

Viewing will be on Tuesday from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the All Saints Chapel.

Interment will be Tuesday in St. Tikhon's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to St. Tikhon's Monastery, 175 St. Tikhon's Road, Waymart, PA 18472.
