Please accept my condolences on the passing of CSM Wade Keen. Wade was my First Sergeant at A Company in Honesdale when I joined the PA National Guard in 1979 and I served with him for several years until he became a Sergeant Major at Battalion. I was fortunate to also serve with him as my Sergeant Major when I was the Battalion's S-2 Officer.
Wade was a great man and a lot of fun to be around. He had high expectations for all and, despite being in charge of over a 100 mean and countless pieces of equipment, in all of our training, I never heard him raise his voice. He was the epitome of a professional soldier and will be missed greatly.

Wade was a lot of fun to be partnered with while selling Masonic raffle tickets at the Wayne County Fair. I laughed so much with how he approached people and the look on his face when they perhaps said no. Such an original. My condolences to the entire family. Farewell, my Brother.

Wade was my cousin and many are the memories at Red Shale Farm and beyond. Wade was someone to be very proud of in so many ways. I used to sit at the farm house on Red Shale Farm and visit with his mom and dad. His mom (my Aunt Helen) used to let me borrow books to read and bring back to her and I really enjoyed the moments of talking to her about them. I remember when Wade and Lois first got married and then the birth of Beth, then Debbie and then Amy. Life goes by so fast but I will always have such awesome memories of him and the rest of the family. My love goes out to Lois, Beth, Debbie and Amy. <3
