Condolences to the family of Barbara Holmes. I knew Barbara when she was President of the Waymart Historical Society. Fellow Society member James Hill asked me to convey his condolences as well. May she rest in peace.

My heart is full of wonderful childhood and teen memories involving Barb and the girls! Lots of laughter on a regular basis, sharing rides to ballet classes with Sherry "falling out of the car" scaring us all to death, sleepovers with plenty of great snacks or Mrs. Fenwick's delicious pies, and working on our Girl Scout badges to name a few...Barb's caring heart was always willing to help with someone's need and she was someone you could count on...Her commitment to church work and community organizations is to be applauded, making an impact on those around her and setting an example for us to follow. She was a strong, consistent and wise mother to her precious daughters!! I will always remember Barb for her faith which she lived out, even while experiencing such a deep loss in her early years. She shared the gospel with me at a young age for which I am eternally grateful. She has now heard her Saviour's words, "Well done...good and faithful servant." May God comfort each of you in your time of sadness. Much love to Sue, Sherry and Gwen.

Where to even start with my memories! So many, many years of fun, laughter, sleepovers, play dates, celebrating holidays, Girl Scouting and memorizing our “pieces” for church programs. The Hippie Tree and sneaking apples. Barb was one of the best neighborhood moms! My most sincere sympathies to her family. ♥️
