Pete and family have been friends and neighbors for over 25 years. A wonderful loving man, Pete was always kind and helpful to all my family, especially my kids. He shared my irreverent sense of humor and we had many a good laugh over my insane interest in birds, especially the "Horned-rimmed Owl"!! I will always miss Pete's incisive advice as I was trying to find my way as a new landowner in Creamton.

To Joan and Family,
I feel very fortunate to have know Pete and Joan because they became more like family. So many good laughs during our telephone conversations. He was special in so many ways to his family and friends. He will be missed but I know that God will be cradling him in his arms and taking all the pain away. May you rest in peace, Pete, and know that you will be in our hearts forever.
Love, Maria/EJ Inv.

When I was in grade school, Uncle Pete and Aunt Joan hosted a pool party at their home on Jacobus Ave. At some point Uncle Pete threw one of the female guests into the pool. I laughed and suggested that he throw someone else in. He did. He threw me in... clothes, shoes, eyeglasses and all. That story that always makes me smile. That's Uncle Pete!
When I started collecting coins, all the change that Uncle Pete brought home from his laundromats provided an endless source of gap-filling possibilities. There were still enough silver coins in circulation during that era that anything was possible while sifting through a table-full of change, so I was a regular visitor whenever he emptied his machines.
The campground in PA became a frequent destination after I became old enough to drive. Lots of good memories spending weekends there. Even bailing hay for one of Uncle Pete's farmer friends is fondly remembered as time well spent.
I always enjoyed being around Uncle Pete. He had a great sense of humor, a distinctive hearty laugh and some legendary exploits (I'm thinking Christmas trees here) that made him a distinctive figure in our family.
Much love to the Grimm family,
Arnie Grieves

Growing up down the street from the Grimm family certainly gave me lots of amazing memories. He was a wonderful man and always so nice to all the neighborhood children. I remember snowmobiling in their back yard and thinking that was the coolest thing ever!! Great family! So sorry for you loss. Sending prayers and love from South Carolina.

Each time I had a chance to see or talk to Uncle Pete, he had a way of making me feel very special. I would say that is because he and Aunt Joan are my godparents, but I know that he made all of the people that he loved feel special! Although time, life and geography may interrupt time spent together as a family, Uncle Pete always made sure we felt like family. Aunt Joan and I know the angels will always look after him, enjoy his sense of humor and keep his memory alive.

Growing up in Wayne uncle Pete lived on the next street over from me and was always so good to us and took me so many times to the farm in PA where his son Peter and I had Volkswagons and drove them all day long around the property and I will never forget when he went to put gas in his tractor and gave me and Pete such a look and said I had over 100 gallons of gas in here and its empty. Great times and great memories and you will stay in this heart forever.Love ya Glenn.
