I can't believe Mark is gone was shocked when saw the paper. He was a dear friend going back to High School in our little group. We shared our weddings and special events over the years Over the last several years sort of lost contact with each other be I still thought about how he was doing. I known loosing a spouse is very very difficult myself loosing Judi. You wonder why! Mark was a very good man and will be greatly missed. If there is anything you need do hesitate to contact me for anything. my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I will say prayers for all

Mark will truly be missed by his second family the NWTF. I met Mark many years ago when I first got involved with the organization he volunteered for and loved so much. He was very passionate about supporting the NWTF's mission. We will all miss him very much but we all can and should be very proud of this mans in pack on conservation. God Bless!

I don't even know where to begin. Often when you read an obituary it tends to be written in an embellishing way to bring one's best qualities to light. In this case, any words I can think of are too pale to describe the character and the integrity of a life so well lived. Mark put others before himself, always lending a hand without a request, an ear without a prompt. He was an example of how we all should live our lives. If there were more people in this world like him, we would never have to experience the hardships that we face. He loved his family and honored and cherished his wife, Christy. They were a perfect example of a loving marriage. They loved each other unconditionally and brought joy to each other daily. It is hard to fathom how such a good man who lived such a clean life could die so unexpectedly. Mark was always ready for heaven, he lived his life as such and I know God has accepted him into his loving arms. He left a great legacy for his children in the way he lived his life and I know his examples will live on through them. He had a light hearted, child-like presence at times that came out in his love of music and mountain biking. He was a great steward of the land. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and many times involved my boys in his adventures while teaching them life lessons. Mark, you will be so missed by all of us down here, but what glory you are experiencing now in heaven. You are a warrior... and we love you and will miss you dearly.

Christie, Sarah, Mark and Family,
My sincere sympathy of Mark’s unexpected passing. I am only too aware, how much your hearts are aching and that this Is a journey where faith, hope and the Lord will be your guide. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to be in Mark’s presence over the many years b/c of your dear friends Laurie and Paul. Mark’s kindness and smile will always be remembered...
Love, Wendy Flyte Smith

I have the great privilege of knowing Mark as a cousin in law and even greater connection as a brother in Christ. Always, always a man who demonstrated his faith, was encouraging, a caring worker, a great story telling outdoorsman, and proud husband and father to list a few of his qualities. A man of integrity and character whose presence will be missed so much but will make the reunion in heaven so much the sweeter. He has added great benefit to all who have known him and shown the spirit of Christ by the way he lived his life.
