Edward Loren Lutz
Edward Loren Lutz, age 61, of Lake Ariel PA, passed away due to complications of his transplant on Wednesday Jan 6, 2021.
Born in Scranton PA on Oct 2, 1959 to Loren and Charlotte Lutz of Lake Ariel, PA who both survive him. Ed was a graduate of Western Wayne High School, he worked at JRB printing and then was employed at Loveshaw for the past 30 years.
Ed was known by many for his huge smile and kind heart. Ed enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, and enjoyed making memories (from coaching baseball, to attending school events, to throwing entertaining birthday parties and holiday events). Ed was often found enjoying various activities such as participating in scare rides at Halloween to watching sports or enjoying the birds. Ed genuinely left a lasting impression with anyone he encountered and will be deeply missed by many. Ed was full of life, laughter, and surrounded by an endless amount of love by his grandchildren.
Ed leaves behind his wife, Christine Bennett, of 42 years, with whom he had six children: Alicia Shaffer of East Stroudsburg PA; Adam Lutz who preceded him in death as an infant; Branden Lutz (Diana) of Blakeslee PA; Jeremy Lutz (Marissa) of Scranton PA; Trevor Lutz (Emily) of Moscow PA; and Krystalee Cottone (Faro) of Greeley PA.
Ed also leaves behind 8 grandchildren: Isabel, Kirsten, Arianna, William, Faro, Blake, Adalee, and Paislee.
He is also survived by a brother, Eric Lutz (Darlene) of Texas; and a sister, Esther Lutz of Lake Ariel, PA.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 14 from 4-7 PM in The Chapel at Ladore Lodge, 398 South Street, Waymart, PA.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 15 at 10:00 AM in The Chapel at Ladore Lodge.
Burial will be in East Canaan Cemetery, South Canaan, following the services on Friday.
A Celebration of Ed’s life will be held in the Main Lodge of Ladore, with a luncheon following the burial on Friday.
