William R. Spry, 75, of White Mills, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at home, due to natural causes. Born October 24, 1945 in White Mills, he was the son of the late Clyde Spry and Lucille (Rynearson) Spry Brochik who both preceded him in death. Bill lived in White Mills all his life. After graduating from high school, he began his career at the former baseball bat factory in White Mills where he worked until his retirement. Bill enjoyed woodworking and was very talented in making many pieces of furniture through the years. His favorite pastime was to meet up for coffee with his buddies at McDonald’s where together, they solved the problems of the world. He is survived by a niece, Charlene Schermerhorn of Waymart; two nephews, Eugene Hetticher of Honesdale, and Kevin Hetticher of New Hampshire; four great-nephews, Justin and Jeremy Schermerhorn, and Matthew and William Hetticher, and a great-niece, Erin Hetticher. Bill was also preceded in death by his sister Janet Hetticher. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public services. Burial will be private in Indian Orchard Cemetery, Honesdale.
