Obituary of Claire E. Padwa
Claire E. Padwa, 67, of Pleasant Mount passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Born August 31, 1954 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late Milton Conklin and Louella (Sieg) Plankey.
Claire was in the dairy farm business for fourteen years. In the 1980's, she was a volunteer for Wayne County Children and Youth. In 1986, Claire was the Lead Coordinator of Hands Across America. She loved the town of Honesdale and doing anything she could to help others including many fundraisers for her community. Claire also loved dancing with her kids and listening to music. She enjoyed the great outdoors; hunting and fishing, butterflies and hummingbirds brought her peace. Claire was also quite the lottery player, but she loved nothing more than her 8 children, all of her grandchildren, and her next-of-kin and bestest friend, Carol. Claire will be remembered for her love of others; she would go above and beyond for anyone she met.
She is survived by her next-of-kin, Carol Padwa of Pleasant Mount; seven children: Harry and Jamie Sinawa of Waymart, Louella and Gary Repsher of Hawley, Robert and Caroline Sinawa of Lake Ariel, Jennifer Sinawa of Dupont, Carl and Elaine Sinawa of Pleasant Mount, Stacy and Daniel Lodini of Hawley, and Chad and Lori Sinawa of Lake Ariel; many grandchildren; eight great-grandkids; many grand-puppies; nieces and nephews; siblings: Alan Fotusky of Honesdale, Nate Fotusky of Hawley, Bernard Fotusky of Hawley, Susan Coe of Wenatche of Washington.
