Obituary of Ralph T. Black
Ralph T. Black, 77, of Lake Ariel passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at home after an illness. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darlene (Swingle) Black on February 1, 1998.
Born June 1, 1944 in Varden, he was the son of the late Willis and Frances (Daniels) Black.
Ralph graduated from high school in Lake Ariel, and married Darlene in 1965. He worked at Hanson Stone Quarry for more than 35 years in various roles, before his retirement. Ralph enjoyed fishing, and always looked forward to a good cookout, and spending quality time with those he loved.
Ralph is survived by a daughter, Theresa Ligus; and a son, Christopher Black and his wife Karen; all of Lake Ariel; four grandchildren: Santee Black, Andrew Cox, Justin Black, and Darlene Black; two sisters, Alice VanSickle and Doris Shaffer; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sons, Leonard Black and Scott Black; a sister, Vernice Bartlow; and a brother, Wallace Black.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Interment will be private in South Canaan Bible Protestant Cemetery.
