Obituary of Charlotte L. Miller
Charlotte L. Miller, 79, of Prompton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday afternoon, March 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard S. Hobbs in 1966, and her second husband, Louis E. Miller in 2012.
Born July 27, 1942 in Waymart, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Doris (Burdick) Beckwith.
Charlotte was a 1961 graduate of Waymart High School. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Waymart and The Waymart Church. Charlotte was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed baking, especially with her grandchildren. A tremendously selfless and giving woman, Charlotte found fulfillment in helping others, always putting the needs of other people before her own. She will always be remembered for her generosity and sweet, gentle spirit that blessed so many throughout her life.
Charlotte is survived by a son, Willard S. Hobbs, Jr. and his wife Dyan; and a daughter, Carolyn A. Reynolds and her husband Jeffrey, all of Prompton; grandchildren, Willard S. Hobbs III and his wife Madeline, Courtney Hobbs, Ryan Souls and his wife Caitlin, Andrew Hobbs and his fiancé Samantha Locklin, and Landon Reynolds; two great-grandchildren, Addison and Carson; a sister, Emilie Petrilak and her husband Wallace; Aunt Marjorie Beckwith; and Uncle Ray Burdick.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM in The Waymart Church, 596 Honesdale Road, Waymart, PA 18472 with Pastor Sal Maiorana officiating.
Friends may visit on Friday, March 4 from 4-7 PM in The Waymart Church.
Interment will be private in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
