Charles V. Chapman, 81, of South Canaan, passed away on Monday morning, March 14, 2022 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 53 years, the former Diana Lamberton, on April 24, 2018. Born May 13, 1940 in Varden, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Mabel (Owens) Chapman. He is survived by three children: Kenneth Chapman and his wife Terri of Lake Ariel, Denise Gregorski and her husband Peter of Waymart, and Merri Swingle and her husband Adam Palko of Waymart; four grandchildren: Travis Chapman, Tara Joy Chapman, Joseph Chapman, and Nicholas Swingle; two brothers, Norman Chapman and his wife Rose, and Donald Chapman and his wife Lucille; two sisters-in-law, Carol Chapman, and Linda Kizer and her husband Rand; and a whole slew of nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Henry Chapman. Following cremation, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Edward R.
