Matthew John Lucas, age 63, died unexpectedly on January 24, 2022 in Odessa, Texas, where he lived for the past 45 years. Born in Scranton on December 23, 1958, he was the son of Kathryn V. Lucas, Waymart, and the late Carl J. Lucas. He enjoyed the outdoors both hunting and fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He graduated from Western Wayne High School in 1977. After graduation, Matt moved to Texas where he was employed as a mechanic at A & C Automotive and later at Gravity Rentals. He is survived by his wife Diana and son Zachary both of Odessa, Texas; brother Carl & wife Elaine, Lompoc, California. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Adam & Mary Jubinsky and paternal grandparents; Bennie & Anna Lucas. Obituary provided by Edward R.
