Norman G. Box, 85, of Waymart, passed away Monday morning, May 30, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, after an illness. His loving wife, Ella (Robbins) Box survives him. They were married on June 29, 1957, and would have celebrated their 65th anniversary next month. Born January 21, 1937 in Scranton, he was the son of the late George and Dorothy (Harris) Box. Norman enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he loved his family. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Debbie Box of Waymart; two sons, Norman M. Box and his wife Tammy, and Richard Box and his wife Lauri, all of Honesdale; grandchildren, Jessica Lopresti (Tony), and Christopher Box (Katharine), Cassandra Dean (Luke), and Tyler Box (Amber); a sister, Phyllis Stalker (Ronald). Norman was also preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Box; and a brother, Kenneth Box. The Funeral will be on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Jenkins-Howell Funeral Home, Inc. Edward R. Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA 18472. Friends may visit on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be on Thursday at The Waymart Cemetery at Canaan Corners.
