From Don: I met Joe in the mid 80s when I was working for Don Guida, a contractor on Lake Wallenpaupack. Joe did masonry work for him. I remember Joe always smiling, laughing, and joking around. I can picture him slapping his leg with a full-on laugh. When I built my house 14 years ago, I knew I wanted Joe to do my fireplace. I wanted his talent in my house. I remember he would mark each stone carefully so it would fit just right. He even included some fossils my family had collected in with the cultured stone. Of course it turned out beautiful. At the time, Fox's Ice Cream was on Route 6. I don't know if Joe did it on purpose or subconsciously, but 2 stones at the top look just like an ice cream cone! RIP Joe Fox. It was a pleasure knowing you.

Brother "Joe", May you rest in peace. Just thinking of all the years on the farm and all the work we did. The good times of swimming in Mickey's pond or the walk down to the creek on Lazorack's flats. How about the time you fell asleep and run the tractor through the pasture fence. "Sam, come and help me fix the fence before dad gets home." The times we swung on the hay rope in the barn or the hundred other terrors we did growing up. God Speed, Brother Sam

Grandpa, I will always remember the smiles you gave me, the jokes you used to make, and the fist bumps we shared when we said goodbye to each other. The Fox family, the production of good men, hard working, religious, community minded, many polits,veterns,good husbands,good fathers,good grandfather's, great family men and widely known. What more can be said about Joe, other than I have never met a finer man that walked the face of this earth. Joe was always upbeat no matter what the situation presented and always gave the lighter side to the problem. Some people I have known over the years, when they had something to say, you would always listen because they were a world of knowledge. Joe was this kind of person. I will miss the conversations he and I would have when we passed along the road of life.He will be missed dearly by everyone he knew in life.I certainly will miss him, God speed, Joe Fox.
