Obituary of Joseph Jordan

Joseph Jordan, 58, of Waymart, passed away Thursday evening, October 5, 2017 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Peterson) Jordan in 2004.

Born April 9, 1959 in Goshen, New York, he was the son of Carol (Conklin) Jordan of Damascus, and the late Joseph Jordan.

Joe was a member of the F&AM Masonic Lodge #542 in Waymart and also served in the United States Navy. Being very dedicated to motorcycles, he loved to participate in local charity rides.  Joe thoroughly enjoyed being a part of his community and helping those in need.  He will be remembered for his passion for music and motorcycles; playing his guitar and riding his bike defined the man he was.

Joe is also survived by his two children, Trish Jordan and her fiancé Mark Hanichak of Mayfield, and Joe Jordan of Waymart; his companion, Reese Orbin and her three daughters, Tammy, Ashley, and Amanda; grandchildren, Chase, Lucas, Jackson, and Ava Claire; five siblings, Randy Jordan and Kris, Melanie Skotch and Gary, Jerry Jordan, Doug Jordan, and Liz Swendsen; his mother-in-law, Patricia Peterson of Honesdale and her family; numerous nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Hanson in 2004, and his father-in-law, Wilbur Peterson.
