Obituary of Dianne Margie Eltz Beynon

Dianne "Margie" Eltz Beynon, 69, of Tunkhannock died Wednesday night, June 29, 2016 at Abington Manor in Clarks Summit after a courageous battle against cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Donald Beynon. Born January 16, 1947 in England, she was the daughter of the late Ivan Edward Eltz and May Lucy Dunn. During her childhood, Margie spent many years on the family farm in Fallsdale with her grandparents, the late Edward and Bessie Rolston Eltz. She also enjoyed time with her paternal aunts, uncles, and cousins at their homes and farms in Wayne County. She attended elementary school in Damascus, and graduated from Waymart High School, Class of 1964. Margie loved her family and always enjoyed getting together with friends and relatives. Since the early 1990's, Margie planned and oversaw the annual Eltz Family Reunion held in Pleasant Mount every year through 2015. Margie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother; she truly enjoyed her family, friends, and pets. She is also survived by her children: Deborah Carfi Jackson of Hainesport, NJ, Emanuel Carfi and his wife Mary of Tunkhannock; two step-children: Donald Beynon and Leslie Stambone both of Florida; seven grandchildren: Halle and Michael Jackson, Joshua, Samantha, Jacob, Aidan, and Emma Carfi; step-grandchildren: Donald, C.J. and Maria; four sisters: Shirley Burrows and her husband David of Texas, Marion Trabona and her husband Charlie, Susan Dunn, and Jackie Fraser, all of New Jersey; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In keeping with her wishes, following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Jenkins Funeral Home-Edward Howell, Funeral Director, 269 Belmont Street, Waymart, PA 18472. www.jenkinshowellfuneralhome.com Friends may visit on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. To honor her wishes, interment of ashes will be at her favorite place near her home.
