I have known Janet, and her husband Steve as well, since we attended Nyack NY high school together. If you knew her today, you knew her just as she was as a young lass. She was smart, friendly and unassuming, a joy to be with once you got to know her. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her well.

As a fellow instructor and later Manager at Lord Stirling Stable, I had many opportunities to interact with Janet. What a fun, happy, horse-loving person she was! She shared her horse knowledge with all of her students. I will remember her dearly and miss her.
My condolences to all of her family.

I have many fond memories of Janet at Lord Stirling. I remember many funny stories that she would tell me when I was following her around as an “instructor in training”. She always had a big heart and looked out for animals that needed a home.

Meeting Janet was a gift. I did rescue for Bernese Mt. Dogs and she took one in for me. Best thing that ever happened to the dog.
I had another one I needed to place later on, and she was the first person I thought of. And Steve God Bless him continued to care for Janet and the dog after she became ill.
She was so kind and I feel blessed to have met her and Steve.
My thoughts are with her family.

Janet, (or Jannie like I called her) was a wonderful, sweet lady. I always enjoyed talking to her when she & her family would come & visit grandma on Christmas. I'm sorry I hadn't had contact with her because she kept moving. I'm sending prayers to Steve ,(Stevie to me) and the family. Love To All!! <3
