Obituary of Diana Chapman

Diana Chapman, 73, of Waymart passed away peacefully on Tuesday night, April 24, 2018 at Allied Services Hospice Center in Scranton after an illness.  She is survived by her beloved husband of more than 53 years, Charles V. Chapman.

Born February 27, 1945 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mildred (Ferris) Lamberton.

Diana graduated from Lake Consolidated School in 1963, and then married Charles.  For many years, Diana drove school van for Western Wayne School District.  She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed yearly trips to Lancaster, Pa with her grandchildren.  She will be missed greatly.

She is also survived by three children: Kenneth Chapman and his wife Terri of Lake Ariel, Denise Gregorski and her husband Peter of Waymart, and Merri Swingle and her husband Adam Palko of Waymart; four grandchildren:  Travis Chapman, Tara Joy Chapman, Joseph Chapman, and Nicholas Swingle; a sister:  Linda Kizer and her husband Rand of Varden; and a whole slew of nieces and nephews, two of whom shared a birthday with her.

Following cremation, arrangements will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Private interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
