Obituary of Michael A. Chesna
Michael A. Chesna, 45, of Honesdale passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday morning November 1, 2018 at home. His beloved wife, Christine (Antoniolli) Chesna survives him. They were married on October 9, 2004.
Born January 27, 1973 in Camp Hill, PA, he was the son of William and Carol (Skripka) Chesna of Bethany, who also survive him.
Mike grew up in Mountaintop, PA and graduated from Crestwood High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology at Penn State University. Mike was a business partner at The Knife Shop where he worked for many years with his family and friends.
Mike loved everything about his children and dedicated his life to them. He supported them in all of their activities and was one of the assistant coaches for their Baseball and Wrestling Teams. Mike always included his sons in the things he loved such as hunting and target shooting. Mike took pleasure in flying his drone around the countryside taking countless photos for neighbors and friends. An avid musician, he loved playing his guitar and taking Christine to concerts. His boys will forever treasure their memories of skiing, swimming, and four-wheeling with their Dad, and they both have inherited his profound love for animals. For all of the amazing things Mike will be remembered for, nothing can compare to the fact that he was the very best, and most awesome Dad anyone could hope for. Mike will never be forgotten; his love is eternal.
Mike is also survived by two sons who were the light of his life: Cole, age 12, and Ryan, age 9, both at home; a brother: Bill Chesna of New York; father-in-law: Hank Antoniolli and his wife Pat of Honesdale; and mother-in-law: Patricia Brooke and her spouse Brian Bixler of Florida.
